About Us

WebSnail is a small business based in Hemingbrough (near Selby, North Yorkshire) owned by Martin Smallridge. Originally established in 1998, as Native Tongues, we've continued to develop a range of professional and creative skills including, graphic design, web based programming, and general computer maintenance. WebSnail.net broke away to focus more on web design skills and move away from multilingual localised site creation although the skills built up as part of Native Tongues are still very much in use on smaller projects.

As part of our volunteer commitments, WebSnail is active in a variety of community development projects; providing resources, and additional support both locally and globally. This has enabled WebSnail to develop a thorough understanding of on-line community growth, needs, issues and of course the strategies needed to make them a success.

During the past four years we've spent considerable time building up long term relationships with companies providing complementary services where reliability, honesty and getting the job done properly are the primary concern. As a result we are able to offer these specialised services as part of our packages, allowing you to benefit from other professionals who focus on specific service provision rather than relying on a jack-of-all-trades approach.

Of course, as a small business WebSnail offer the benefits of personal contact, a friendly service and a more dedicated service than you might expect from bigger firms.
